Benjamin’s Nursery – The Details…

Modern Baby Nursery - Cassandre Snyder Events & Design

One of the smaller interior design projects I took on a few months ago was very near & dear to my heart. My baby sister had a baby and bought a house at the same time (not literally). My nephew Benjamin Levine was born on May 14th (ironically two days after her baby shower)and I am a VERY proud Aunt for the 8th time. My sister & brother-in-law asked for my help in designing his nursery and I couldn’t have been more excited! The nursery was recently featured on Inspired By This blog and since it’s “unveiling” I’ve had a lot of e-mails asking me about different items from the room, so I thought I would share my sources with you here. Pictures are below and details are underneath. Much thanks to Rita Rojas Photography for capturing Benji’s nursery!

The books were gifts at the baby shower that guests brought in lieu of cards. Benjamin has enough books to read until he is at least 4 years old!

The framed tree print was the sign-in book from her baby shower that was featured on Onto Baby. We used a shadow box to place his take home outfit in.
The Baby Sign on door is a custom piece created by Paloma’s Nest
Dresser: Craigslist find – we painted it yellow & changed the hardware. See the before & after here
Crib & Rocker: Babies R Us – Gifts from her baby shower
Striped Bedding: Land of Nod – Not a Peep collection
Rug: Overstock.com
White Book Shelves, Curtains & Green hanging stuffed animal holder: Ikea
Paper Lanterns: Old leftovers from my event inventory. Can be found anywhere.
Yellow Shadow Boxes: Found in my garage (I’m serious), just gave them a coat of yellow paint left over from the dresser!

The beauty of this room is that it will grow with him. He can enjoy the chalkboard door when he get’s older. My sister can just switch out the crib and place a toddler bed with some soft white sheets and voila! Unto the next project…..
