Last month I had the pleasure of traveling to Ireland for the wedding of a very special couple. Cindy & Keith were engaged over 2 years ago and opted for a destination wedding in Ireland. Partially because Keith, the groom, is Irish, but mostly because Cindy LOVES (in her own words) “The Land of Green”. I had the pleasure of planning both their engagement party & wedding. For their engagement party they decided to go with a quaint Chinese restaurant in the city, called JING. JING Restaurant is located on 9th Ave, in Manhattan, and was the PERFECT location for friends & family to gather to celebrate their engagement. The theme was Asian fusion as a nod to Cindy’s heritage and Cindy insisted on having the theme carried out everywhere, as well as the gorgeous colors of red & turquoise. Check out some of the details.
Exterior & Interior of the invitation to the party. The invite was a mix of both colors along with a Chinese frog closure on the front. Created by yours truly…

Since the space was so small and food was being served family style, we opted to go with small vases filled with red roses. The favors were cookies using the Chinese Double Happiness symbol along with chopsticks that had the couples name and engagement party date. The cupcakes, cake and cookies were all made by Cookidales & Co. Guests were happy to have a night out in the city, along with good food & drinks, yummy dessert and sweet treats to take home. Most of all, the couple was happy to be surrounded by friends and family. Then, it was on to planning the wedding! Stay tuned for the wedding recap…
